Christie vogel
Christie Vogel has over ten years of experience developing IT solutions. She is driven to work with her customers to discover, define, develop and deliver business savvy solutions! Her favorite place to be is where business and technology meet, applying her education and experience in both disciplines to bridge the gap.
Christie's experience spans the education, transportation, retail and IT industries. After teaching computer information systems at the U of A - Fayetteville, Christie spent four years with JB Hunt Transport in a dual role as pricing manager and software developer. Combining her business and technical experience, Christie participated and led in the full life cycle development of a suite of highly interactive pricing software while also taking on the responsibility of being the sole developer of the intermodal rail accounts payable system. This was the ideal training ground for Christie to stay intimately close to the customer and business at hand while honing her technical skillset using Microsoft technologies such as Visual Basic 6.0, C#, ASP.Net, MS Access and SQL Server.
Christie then ventured into the Wal-Mart supplier community as a category analyst for CH Robinson. In this role Christie worked as an advisor to Wal-Mart, providing valuable insight into the category management process and developing shelf optimization plans for multiple buyers and categories. Christie used her technical skillset to reengineer, streamline and automate various pieces of the modular planning process. After a brief assignment as an Interactive Producer with the web development firm Rockfish Interactive, she decided to venture out on her own as an independent consultant. In April 2008 she started Business Savvy Solutions. Christie holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Computer Information Systems and Quantitative Analysis, and a Master’s degree in Information Systems.
